MIMISOME Clinic Busan Deokcheon · 33 Mandeok-daero, Buk-gu, Busan (2–3F) · 3 min from Deokcheon Station Exit 12
A treatment that reduces facial redness, visible capillaries and red acne marks with a 595 nm pulsed dye laser, whose light is absorbed selectively by the haemoglobin inside blood vessels. A burst of cooling spray protects the surface just before each pulse, so it is usually done without anaesthetic. The device is the Candela V-Beam Perfecta, cleared by the U.S. FDA and widely regarded as the standard vascular laser.

How it works
595 nm light is readily absorbed by haemoglobin, so it turns into heat only inside dilated vessels; the heat coagulates the vessel wall, the vessel closes and the body absorbs it over the following weeks. Surrounding skin absorbs little of the light, so damage is limited. Pulse length and energy are adjusted: diffuse redness is treated with gentle settings that do not bruise, thicker capillaries with stronger settings, and the same principle is used for red acne marks and the redness in scars.
Ideal for
- A face that flushes easily or is persistently red
- Visible capillaries on the nose and cheeks
- Red acne marks
- Scars that have stayed red
FAQ
What is V-Beam?
A treatment that reduces facial redness, visible capillaries and red acne marks with a 595 nm pulsed dye laser, whose light is absorbed selectively by the haemoglobin inside blood vessels. A burst of cooling spray protects the surface just before each pulse, so it is usually done without anaesthetic. The device is the Candela V-Beam Perfecta, cleared by the U.S. FDA and widely regarded as the standard vascular laser.
When do results from V-Beam start to show?
Vessels are absorbed and fade over several weeks after treatment. Our in-clinic guide is usually a programme of 3–5 sessions at 3–4 week intervals, with changes typically starting to show from around the 2nd–3rd session.
How long do V-Beam results last?
Treated vessels do not return, but new ones can form and a tendency to flush can remain, so the maintenance interval after the programme is decided in consultation based on your progress. Reducing triggers that dilate vessels, such as sun, heat and alcohol, helps protect the result.
Does V-Beam hurt? Is anesthesia used?
Anesthesia: Usually not needed · cooling. Discomfort is about 2 on a 5-point scale.
What is the downtime after V-Beam — swelling and bruising?
Redness and swelling for about a day after treatment are common. Where thicker vessels are treated with stronger settings, a bruise-like purple mark can appear and usually fades within 1–2 weeks. If anything feels different from what you were told, let us know in chat.
How many V-Beam sessions are needed, and how far apart?
Our in-clinic guide is usually 3–5 sessions, 3–4 weeks apart; the number and spacing of sessions are decided in consultation.
How much does V-Beam cost?
From ₩100,000 (Nose · chin, 1 session) · VAT excl. It varies by area and amount and is confirmed after consultation.
How long does a session of V-Beam take?
A session takes about 10–20 min (numbing and preparation time not included).
