How it works
1064 nm is absorbed a little by melanin, haemoglobin and water alike, so when short pulses are rapidly overlapped, only the upper dermis is gently warmed with almost no damage to the surface. That heat stimulates collagen renewal, which can refine texture and fine pores; dilated small vessels shrink so redness settles, and the effect on epidermal pigment can leave the tone clearer. Genesis is a mode of the Clarity II, the same device as its vascular and pigment modes, so it is sometimes combined with another mode on the same day.
