A device that inserts an insulated microneedle, open only at its tip, into individual pores or lesions to deliver radiofrequency at the chosen depth alone. It treats the sebaceous glands behind acne that keeps recurring in the same spot, blackheads on the nose and the small bumps around the eyes (syringomas) while limiting damage to the surrounding skin; it is done with numbing cream.

How it works
The shaft of the needle is insulated and only the tip is exposed, so radiofrequency heat is generated only at the depth the tip reaches, bypassing the epidermis. For acne, the sebaceous gland that produces the oil is coagulated directly at the tip, reducing the inflammation that keeps returning in that pore; for syringomas, the sweat-gland tissue in the skin is coagulated so the bump settles. Treating lesions one by one is more precise than a laser passed over a wide area, and with little damage to the surface the risk of scarring and pigment change is low.
Ideal for
- Acne that keeps recurring in the same spot, such as on the nose or chin
- Blackheads and excess oil on the nose
- Small bumps around the eyes (syringomas)
- Those who find it hard to stay on acne medication for long
FAQ
What is AGNES?
A device that inserts an insulated microneedle, open only at its tip, into individual pores or lesions to deliver radiofrequency at the chosen depth alone. It treats the sebaceous glands behind acne that keeps recurring in the same spot, blackheads on the nose and the small bumps around the eyes (syringomas) while limiting damage to the surrounding skin; it is done with numbing cream.
When do results from AGNES start to show?
It takes time for coagulated glands to be absorbed. Our in-clinic guide is usually a programme of 3–5 sessions, with changes typically starting to show from around the 2nd–3rd session; the interval is decided in consultation according to the lesion.
How long do AGNES results last?
Treated glands and syringomas tend not to return, but new lesions can form in untreated pores, so whether further sessions are needed is decided in consultation based on your progress.
Does AGNES hurt? Is anesthesia used?
Anesthesia: Numbing cream. Discomfort is about 3 on a 5-point scale.
What is the downtime after AGNES — swelling and bruising?
Redness and fine dot marks for about 2–3 days are common, and treated acne spots swell a little more for a few days before settling. Avoid make-up and saunas on the day and use sunscreen carefully. If anything feels different from what you were told, let us know in chat.
How many AGNES sessions are needed, and how far apart?
Our in-clinic guide is usually 3–5 sessions; the number and spacing of sessions are decided in consultation.
How much does AGNES cost?
From ₩150,000 (per session) · VAT excl. It varies by area and amount and is confirmed after consultation.
How long does a session of AGNES take?
A session takes about 30 min (numbing and preparation time not included).
