MIMISOME Clinic Busan Deokcheon · 33 Mandeok-daero, Buk-gu, Busan (2–3F) · 3 min from Deokcheon Station Exit 12
A fractional treatment that divides a CO2 laser into very fine points to make a dense grid of microscopic treatment channels in the skin. The healthy skin between the channels closes them quickly while new collagen fills in from below, refining depressed acne scars, enlarged pores and rough texture. It is the longest-proven approach to scar treatment and is done with numbing cream.

How it works
The 10,600 nm CO2 laser is strongly absorbed by water and vaporises the tissue it touches. Dividing it into points removes a narrow column from the epidermis into the dermis at each point while heat passed to the surroundings contracts collagen. Only a fraction of the surface is treated, so the skin left between the points closes the surface within days, and beneath it new collagen fills in over several months so the floor of scars can rise and texture can even out. Depth and density of the points are changed to suit the scar, with deeper scars targeted more strongly.
Ideal for
- Depressed acne scars
- Enlarged pores
- Rough texture and fine lines
- Scars that have not improved well with other methods
FAQ
What is CO2 Fractional?
A fractional treatment that divides a CO2 laser into very fine points to make a dense grid of microscopic treatment channels in the skin. When do results from CO2 Fractional start to show?
Scars become shallower gradually as new collagen fills in. Our in-clinic guide is usually 3–5 sessions at 4–6 week intervals, with changes typically seen session by session from around 4 weeks.
How long do CO2 Fractional results last?
