Genesis Redness
MIMISOME Clinic Busan Deokcheon · 33 Mandeok-daero, Buk-gu, Busan (2–3F) · 3 min from Deokcheon Station Exit 12
A redness treatment that uses long-pulsed 755 nm alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG together in one device to calm diffuse facial redness and the enlarged small vessels behind it. Cooling protects the surface, so it feels warm with a light sting, needs no anaesthetic and you return to your day right away; it is also used on sensitive skin that flushes easily. The device is the Lutronic Clarity II, cleared by the U.S. FDA for benign vascular lesions, and clinical studies have compared it with pulsed dye laser (V-Beam) for rosacea-type redness.

How it works
Underneath diffuse redness lies a wide bed of enlarged small vessels. Long-pulsed 755 nm is absorbed well by haemoglobin and coagulates these superficial vessels, while 1064 nm penetrates deeper to treat the remaining deeper vessels and, as rapid low-energy pulses, gently warms the dermis to support collagen renewal. Using the two wavelengths in sequence in one session reduces superficial and deeper vessels together, and both reach deeper than a 595 nm pulsed dye laser. A Korean university hospital study reported that four monthly treatments gave physician-rated improvement at 6 months comparable to V-Beam, with fewer blister-type reactions.

When do results from Genesis Redness start to show?
Redness settles gradually as the coagulated vessels are absorbed and sessions add up. Our in-clinic guide is usually a programme of 5 sessions at 2–4 week intervals, with changes typically starting to show from around the 3rd session.
How long do Genesis Redness results last?
A tendency to flush can remain, so redness can return if triggers that dilate vessels — sun, heat, alcohol — continue; the maintenance interval after the programme is decided in consultation based on your progress. Please use sunscreen consistently after treatment.
Does Genesis Redness hurt? Is anesthesia used?
Anesthesia: Not needed. Discomfort is about 1 on a 5-point scale.
What is the downtime after Genesis Redness — swelling and bruising?
Redness and warmth right after treatment are common and usually settle within a few hours to about a day; in the study they had cleared within 2 weeks at most. If anything feels different from what you were told, let us know in chat.
