How it works
Focusing ultrasound on a single point heats only that spot to about 60°C or more, creating a small thermal coagulation point. Lines of these points are placed at 1.5 mm (dermis), 3.0 mm (deep dermis) and 4.5 mm (SMAS). The collagen there contracts, and over the following months new collagen forms, which can gradually tighten the skin. The surface is largely untouched, so you can return to your normal routine right away. Cartridges are changed to treat the face, under-chin and neck at different depths.

How long results last varies widely with skin thickness, age and lifestyle. Because the energy per shot is lower, results tend to be shorter-lived, so we generally guide an interval of about 3–6 months; the timing of any next treatment is decided in consultation based on your progress.
Does Shurink (Ultraformer) hurt? Is anesthesia used?
Anesthesia: Numbing cream 20 min. Discomfort is about 2 on a 5-point scale.
What is the downtime after Shurink (Ultraformer) — swelling and bruising?
