How it works
The threads are made of PDO (polydioxanone), the same material as surgical sutures, and are gradually broken down in the body into water and carbon dioxide; studies report this takes about 6–8 months. MINT cogs are press-moulded rather than cut into the thread, so the thread itself is not weakened, and the 360-degree helical cogs grip tissue from several directions for a stable hold. As the thread dissolves, collagen and new vessels form around it, so firmness continues after the thread is gone. Thickness and length differ by type (Petit, Fine, Easy, 43), chosen to match the area and the degree of sagging.

When do results from MINT Thread start to show?
The lift is visible from the day of treatment, but for around the first 1–2 weeks swelling and a pulling feeling are mixed in. The shape usually settles around 1–2 months, once the swelling has gone and collagen has formed around the threads.

What is the downtime after MINT Thread — swelling and bruising?
A pulling feeling, stiffness and swelling are common and usually settle over 1–2 weeks, and bruising fades within 1–2 weeks. The skin where a thread is anchored can look slightly uneven or dimpled for a while; this mostly smooths out within a few weeks, but let us know if it persists or if you can feel the end of a thread.
