How it works
PN consists of DNA fragments linked in chains. In the skin it supplies the material and signals cells need to repair damage and build collagen and elastic fibres, and it holds water to stabilise the environment within the skin. It is placed at regular intervals in the upper dermis to act evenly over a wide area; a low-viscosity formulation is used around the eyes, and the thicker S formulation is placed at the base of depressed scars. A programme is usually 3–4 sessions at 2–4 week intervals.
