How it works
Each vial contains 42.5 mg of PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) and 7.5 mg of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid. The PDLLA is made as hollow, porous sponge-like microspheres that break down slowly in the body while stimulating fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin. Right after injection the hyaluronic acid fills the skin; as it is absorbed over a few weeks, collagen production from the PDLLA takes over. This is why it is usually given in 2–3 sessions about 4 weeks apart, with results building from one session to the next.

When do results from Juvelook start to show?
The fullness right after injection is the hyaluronic acid; it settles over a few weeks and the result then builds as collagen forms. Studies report that changes usually begin to show at 4–8 weeks and are most visible around 6 months.
How long do Juvelook results last?
How long results last varies widely with skin condition, the number of sessions and age. We generally guide around one year to a year and a half; the timing of any next treatment is decided in consultation based on your progress.
Does Juvelook hurt? Is anesthesia used?
Anesthesia: Numbing cream. Discomfort is about 2 on a 5-point scale.
What is the downtime after Juvelook — swelling and bruising?
Needle marks, redness and small bumps are common and usually settle within 1–3 days, and bruising fades within 1–2 weeks. If anything feels different from what you were told, let us know in chat.
